Japanese Curry Fix

I love having curry on colder days, and Japanese curry is one of my favourites. I think Japanese curry is a super filling and delicious dish. Back in secondary school, my friends and I would crave for Katsu curry all the time. It was the perfect dish, especially during winter. A hot plate of curry with a crispy cutlet and steamy rice was so satisfying! I haven’t had Japanese curry for a while, because I have no idea where to get one in Hong Kong. Recently, a friend recommended a Japanese curry chain called Coco Ichibanya. I went there with two other friends for a curry fix.

We arrived around 3/4pm, which was great, because the restaurant was not super packed (unlike most places in Hong Kong *SIGH*). Hence, we could take our time with the food, without having the pressure of being rushed. The seating was really nice too, we had a side booth to ourselves. Most of all, the food was scrumptious.

Not only do you get a nice plate of Japanese curry, you can also get omelette rice (aka omurice) with it. Two dishes in one, woohoo! If you ever have a Japanese curry or omurice craving, I would definitely recommend Coco Ichibanya.

They have branches in parts of Asia and in the States. Sadly, they don’t have a branch in the UK. I hope they will open a branch in London. It will definitely be my favourite Japanese curry hideout. :D
