There are many fascinating factories and museums in Japan that are opened to the public. Some of them even have free entry! If you love drinking beer, then you should definitely book yourself a tour at a beer factory.
Asahi is a well known Japanese brand for draft beer. It was founded over 100 years ago as the Osaka Beer Company. In the past century this beer company grew to become one of the most famous breweries in the country. By 2017, its “Super Dry” brand even became Japan’s top selling beer.
I had the opportunity to join a tour at the Asahi beer factory in Osaka. Not only did I learn about its beer production, I also learnt a lot about its history as well as its environmental stance to help reduce CO2 emissions. It was certainly a very informative and interesting tour.
The tour itself is entirely free of charge, and it includes a beer tasting session where you can try the different types of beers produced by Asahi Breweries.

I really don't like beer, but I bet it is interesting for historical reasons too.
