To the Pokemon Cafe!

I recently returned from Japan and I couldn't wait to share my trip with you all! One of the highlights of my trip has to be the new Pokemon Cafe in Nihombashi.

Pokemon was a big part of my childhood and I would spend ages everyday playing Pokemon cards and trading them. I never left my house without my cards, until one day they ended up in the washing machine. And all I was left with was a lump of mush in my tracksuit bottoms. *drops head in despair*

There is no doubt that Pikachu is an international celebrity. People from all over the world have heard of this adorable electric mouse. If you're a Pokemon fan like myself, then I would highly recommend you to pay a visit to the Pokemon Cafe when you're in Japan. It's a place where you can relive your childhood and have lunch with Pikachu! They serve a range of savoury mains, themed desserts and unusual drinks. You'll be tempted to splash out all your money at this place because everything on the menu looks incredibly cute!

To take a look at their menu and make a reservation, check out the official Pokemon Cafe website here.

If you can't read Japanese, don't worry. You can always ask Google to translate this website for you. 😎

- TIPS FOR THE POKEMON CAFE -

Before you go to the cafe, here are a few handy things you should know.
  • You MUST make an online reservation. You cannot walk in on the day, otherwise you'll be turned away.
  • Book at least one month in advance to secure your time slot if you want to go on a specific date. This cafe is extremely popular.
  • Make sure you know exactly how many people are going to the cafe with you, because you can't change your reservation once you've confirmed.
  • There is a 90 minute dining time for every booking.
  • Bring a folder to put away the complimentary table mats. Every table mat is different so it's worth taking it home for keepsake.
  • No booking fee is required, unless you want to purchase exclusive online products. You will need to provide your card details to pay for the products during the booking process.
  • Decide whether you want to purchase exclusive products with your booking. This is because you can't purchase them on the day. These products are only available online during your booking process.
  • All food and drink are ordered by the electronic menu on the iPad.
  • You have the option buy a Pikachu or Evee mug with a latte. You can do this buy selecting your preference on the menu.
  • You are guaranteed a free Pokemon coaster with every drink you order.
  • Refrain from pouncing on Pikachu on the day. 😆 I know it can be very tempting!!

  3. I'm literally -literally- putting this on my bucket list. I always wanted to go to Japan because I think it's an incredible country, so whenever I have the chance to visit it I'll make sure to book (in advanced) a table at this magical Pokemon Cafe. This is childhood goals at its best!! The way they serve their food is so cute and clever! And i want to get at least one Charmander-related something lol, he was my favorite Pokemon! I truly loved this post and I'm not even kidding when I say this cafe is now on my bucket list.
